Target Market

First of all, we need to understand who is our target market before start making big marketing decisions which includes our company name Warisan Melayu and our slogan 'Get to Know Us'. Malaysia is a multi racial, multi cultural and multi religion country. So, Malaysian have similarities on food consumption especially kuih traditional. Our company target market is wider due to multi racial country. We don't have specific target market because eveyone can buy our product everytime and everyday. We look at our current customer base and why do they buy from us. This is because we are located near to school, office and can reach  public transport easily. Other than that, we also know our competitors targeting who are Nyonya colour that sell similar as our. Points of Differences

Assalamualaikum~ What are points of difference or POD? POD is the product or brand must be equal or similar with the major offerings in the category for the key attributes, but the product also needs to have a number of unique or differentiated attributes. The apects of the product offering that are relatively distinct to the offerings of like competitors. What is the different of our product compare to competitors is in term of packaging and the taste. Kuih Warisan Melayu packaging have unique design which is similar to our logo and the taste not too sweet. Customer Value Proposition

Customer value proposition is related to the reason why a consumer would benefit from purchasing it. Benefit that customer will get is, they can place an order in the large quantity and get the the product on time.  In order to create a good customer value proposition, companies need to obtain a good customer insight. Our companies make a research about customer needs and expectation about the products.  It is also very important to keep an open communication with customers themselves and to study their feedback seriously. Distribution Strategy

Assalamualiakum everyone, Today post is going to be about the distribution strategy. Our company chooses direct distribution where we directly handing out our Kuih directly from our kitchen to the customer without going through any business distributors or retailers. There are many reasons that we decided to choose it. Firstly, it adds the benefit of direct interaction and relationship building with our consumer. It means that we can communicate we our customer directly without any barriers. Secondly, to ensure the quality Kuih and delivery service. For instance, we are able to make sure that the Kuih that we deliver to our customer is freshly made and nicely packaged. Thirdly, this strategy also allows us to control and eliminates intermediaries so that we do not have to split our profit with another party, thus it also reducing outside fees like commissions. Overall, direct distribution is the most suitable option for our company in the meantime.

Service Strategy

Assalamualiakum Everyone, Warisan Melayu believes that we must treat customers with the service that is able to show the same care, like when we prepare of our Kuih. The innovative and convenience type of services that our customer can place the order through our website or make a phone call. The services that our company offers are the delivering service and the catering service. Delivering Service:  It is a courier service for those who prefer to have the Kuih delivered at their assign location.   Catering Service:  This service is offered for special events such as the wedding, open house, surprise party and etc. We will prepare and serve the Kuih at the event. When it comes to any kind of gathering or event, having our delicious Kuih on the menu for the guests is essential. Promotion Strtegy

Assalamualiakum everyone,  Today we are very happy to let you know about our promotions strategy. Since promotion is one of the key element in putting across our Kuih to the customer, we decided to do something which is very simple yet very effective way to gain the publicity. We will mix the basic types of promotion. 1) Advertising: we will use social media and flyer as our medium of advertising so that we can communicate directly with the customer. 2) Sales Promotion: Since Malaysia has lots of holidays, we decides to have promotional pricing where we will offer discounts or special event price. Assalamualiakum everyone, It’s been a while.  Today, we are going to focus on the price strategy that could be used in our company. When it comes to retail pricing structure there is a lot of variables to take into consideration, in this case, we think that market penetration pricing, is the most suitable for the company.  Since our company is new to the market and yet there are many competitors. By using this pricing strategy, it will allow us to quickly attract new customers based on the low cost and it is one of the most effective ways for increasing market share and sales volume while discouraging competition.                                  Just by looking at the photo above, the everyday low pricing is sound more interesting that deep discounts, isn't it? With the high production volume, the business is able to cut their cost with the same amount of products produced due to the discount obtain by purchasing the materials in bulk thus resulted in lower cost of producing the goods. 2.       Differentiation Strategy Warisan Melayu offer the products that consist of various types different from one another. Hello everyone. Today, we want to explain about our company's goals. Every company either big or small company has their own goals. It is to make sure they follow their schedule and target as well as they can.  For our company, one of our goals are to open more physical stores across peninsula Malaysia. Before this, we only have one store. That store is multipurpose which are making all the ‘kuih’ at there and sell the delicious ‘kuih’ at the same place. So sad. Customer also need to come at this store to book, order or buy all this ‘kuih’. Sometimes, it could make crowded with people. We hope, if we open another big stores or branches, people are easier to buy from our products from us. Besides, our goal also to deliver more accessible around Malaysia. Assalamualaikum~         In Malaysia specifically for Malays, there are many different types of kuih can be found which include the savoury type and sweet type of kuih. The methods used also different for different kuih such as fried and steam method that is commonly used in the making of the Malay traditional kuih. In addition, most of these kuih is suitable for most of the time including breakfast, as dessert, during tea time and supper at night.     For today's post, we will introduce 5 of our products in this business which include kuih seri muka, bahulu, ketayap, buah rotan and onde-onde. Intro to Our Business - Warisan Melayu

Assalamualaikum~ As mentioned above, this blog is made only for the purpose of our Marketing Principles ASSIGNMENT. No real business established! For this first post, we will introduce the background of our business. INTRODUCTION!! First of all, the name of our business is called Warisan Melayu or Malay Heritage. Our business is established to supply our products to all of our potential customers especially the Malays. We will be focusing on supplying some of the products of Malay Traditional Kuih. Our company will not become reality without these five important members of the company which are  Miss Syazwani Nizam, Miss Aina Bahiah Samsudin, Miss Izzah Nadzirah Aziz Azhar, Miss Lim Yasira and Miss Naqibah Nazlee. We ourselves will be the one to manage and operate this business from dealing with our own suppliers for the materials to dealing with the customers.  This business started from early this October. The operation of Warisan Melayu started from 1st October 2018 and st
