Competitors Analysis

             By conducting a competitor analysis, we can identify our competitors’ strengths and weaknesses. This is important for start-up company like us as we can plan ahead on what are the things that can make our company special from others. In this competitor analysis, we will talk about our competitor’s product, service, location, pricing and customers.

            There are a lot of competitors selling kuih/snacks like us. However, we will focus on one specific shop that is quite well known in Malaysia. The shop is called Nyonya Colors. Nyonya Colors specializes in premium homemade quality Nyonya Kueh and delights. They aim to provide customers with the highest quality and tasty Nyonya Kueh. Almost all their Nyonya Kueh, desserts and meals are produced in their own central kitchen as they are quite particular with the consistency in taste and good quality control. They use the best and freshest ingredients to make the products. Moreover, they do not use preservatives in their product so they advised their customers to consume the products within the day of purchase to ensure there is no impairment in taste and texture. Nyonya Colors is selling 30 types of different kueh at their shop. Such as, talam ubi, pulut inti, sago ubi, bingka beras and many more. Moreover, they also sell savoury food like cucuk udang, chicken samosa, otak-otak and fried spring roll. They sell varieties type of food and that is one of their strengths where they can attract more customers to their shops to enjoy their kueh and savoury food.

             Nyonya Colors also offers free delivery services to most areas in Petaling Jaya and selected areas in central Kuala Lumpur. Customers can place their orders via email, fax or phone call. Free delivery services could attract customers that would like to taste their kuih with one call away. They have nine outlets in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and some other parts. Their shops are located at Suria KLCC, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Mid Valley City, and KLIA. These location are strategic where many people can take a look at their shops.
